Kombucha is a non-alcoholic 'drink with benefits' gaining in popularity and becoming known as a soft drink for adults. Whilst Kombucha is thought to have originated in Japan, fermented foods and drinks have been used since ancient times globally and many cultures have their own versions. Made from fermented sweet tea, you can brew it at home in around 12 days and once you get started with our kit, you have all you need to keep brewing. You can drink it in its original state, or do a short second ferment with flavours like ginger, berries or herbs.
CAUTION - when first starting out with fermented drinks, take a small (150ml) glass daily for the first week to introduce the fermented product to your system.

Sugar - if brewed properly this will have been used by the microbes as fuel to ferment the tea (however diabetics should consult with their doctor).
