Experiment with new foods - do you find that you have become a little ‘samey’ in what you eat?

Learn to discover what foods do (or perhaps don’t) work with your body - we are every one of us different.

Build healthy habits that you can take going forward - don’t stop here!

If you don't want to do this as part of a group it can be run on a 1:1 basis.

struggling with anxieties, weight gain, aches or allergy

What do I need?

Most of all - an open mind, be receptive to trying new foods before you discount them

Enthusiasm - this is a change you are making, for yourself, for the better - embrace it.

1:1 programme available anytime

take time out - have a reboot - be good to your gut

Why should I do it?

Some people might simply want to ensure they’re doing the best for their gut - like a maintenance programme.  Others may have been struggling silently with symptoms for months, years or even decades. No matter what the reason, take control - feed your microbes what they need to thrive and you will feel the benefit of it.

Momentum - Doing this as part of a small group means you are with like-minded people who are going through exactly the same as you. They are there, like you, because they want to be, we will use a closed facebook group to share recipes, bounce ideas off and get support.

Why your gut Health matters

The Microbiome

You've may well have heard of this - we have many biomes - in our ears, eyes, mouth, on our skin, in the gastro-intestinal and urinary tracts.  The common one we hear about is the 'gut microbiome'.

In our intestines there is a whole other world - if you think about it we are basically one big doughnut with a cavity starting at our mouth and going down through the stomach through the intestines and right out the other end.  This tract is lined with trillions of microscopic bacteria all who like to feed on different things, and  communicate back to us.

The intestinal tract has a lining, thinner in the small intestine and thicker in the large intestine and this is where they like to hang out.  Having good gut health means having a healthy intestinal mucosal layer.  There are many things that can hamper this and deterioration with age is common as the lining has taken a longer battering from life.  Medications, sugar, alcohol, caffeine, stress, processed foods, chemical imbalances all affect your lining - as well as the environment you have been exposed to and your genetic make-up.

People suffering with IBS or other digestive issues are often found to have poor strength in the mucosal lining and imbalances between the good and bad bacteria - this is referred to as dysbiois.  Getting to the bottom of exactly where the imbalances lie can be tricky, and testing can be required to give a more definitive path to better health.

Common Symptoms of Dysbiosis

The more obvious digestive upsets include:

  • heartburn
  •  bloating
  • gas
  • cramps
  • constipation
  • diarrhoea

But there are many other symptoms that could be linked to poor gut health.

  • Fatigue
  • Brain Fog
  • Skin Issues
  • Allergies and Intolerances
  • Auto-Immunity
  • Anxiety
